On the occasion of the year Dalí, the Catalan prisons have organised a series of acts to bring nearer the figure of this genius of the painting to the inmates of the centres. Between other initiatives, a group of prisoners designed and made up fashion creations inspired in the dalinian universe, including in the dresses characteristic motives of the painter: long legs elephants, sliding watches and other surrealist images.

19 of the dresses were exhibited in an improvised catwalk under the Dali’s museum dome by models of the school Teresa Gimpera. Make up and hairdressing of all the models was in charge of Cazcarra, that participated in this beautiful initiative, as they have done in previous occasions in other similar galas organised by ARED.

The act was concurred by important penitentiary and municipal , as web as the well-known model Judith Mascó.

The group of Personal Image Assesment (1st year-Morning) of Cazcarra, organised a Christma’s raffle to collect money for the end of year journey that the students will make next year, when they finish their studies.

The winner ticket was the same as the Christma’s lottery, and as the rewarded ticket was one of the tickets not sold, students decided to donate the prize to a residence for old people (GERIATRIC RESIDENCE SANT DANIEL- 94, Londres Street) so the seniors that live there can enjoy it.

Day after Christma’s raffle all the assesment group met with the prize , and song the FUN, FUN, FUN with the residents, that were very excited by the kindness and wished to the students a happy Christmas and that they pass the year with a high final qualification.

Apart from the raffle, the different groups of Personal Image Assesment (Morning, evening and Global 1st year), have thought in doing different activities: parties in discotheques, a special calendar qith images created by them, etc. In this web we will be informing you about the different events.

The students of different matters in the different High Schools in Cazcarra (make up, aesthetics, tridimensional, hairdressing, image assesment, etc.) are visiting as public the popular and funny scenario of the every time more strambotic Martian Chronicles.

Last 16th Desember, the show host, the showman Xavier Sardà, gave a TV LSD-Daitsu flat screen to every one of the audience. That day the students of the first year in Personal Image Assesment (morning) were lucky because they were part of the audience.

From here, we would like to congratulate to the lucky students, and that it loos as if they have had started their relationship with the TV set on the right footing.

Cazcarra was the one in charge to make up the team in charge of the premier presentation of The phantom of the opera, directed by Joel Schumacher, and that it was projected in Special Session out of competition.

Cazcarra professional’s worked in the make up of all the waiters of the VIP dinner that was celebrated in the Palace Mar i Cel and that had as the main characters the actors, director and the film scriptwriter.

MªCarmen Cazcarra herself made up an actor of the festival that livened up playing the piano and greeting people sitting at the tables. The Director of Cazcarra Image Group created in his face the terrible burns of the character, and finally she covered the half of the face with a white mask.

Cazcarra collaborates each year with the organisers of the festival, because it is considered the leading school in the professional make up field in our country. One of the subjects taught in the school of Personal Image Consultancy is make up for cinema and TV, and the creation of facial and body prosthesis, as well as the simulation of injuries, burns and disfigurations.
